Who we are – in short
Hotel, restaurant, conference and event location: diversity in action
We are a modern hotel and restaurant within historic walls dating from 1298 A.D., and a venue often used for family and friendly encounters as well as for events and conferences.
Each of our 55 rooms and suites is unique in terms of floor plan and furnishings.
In our restaurant, we offer creative cuisine with dishes that tell the stories of North Hesse anew. We pay attention to high-quality ingredients from the region, seasonal freshness, and a high organic content.
As a conference and event location, we can adapt flexibly to the needs of our guests thanks to our diverse rooms for group sizes from under 20 to 350 people.
We are proud of our competent and highly motivated team, whose friendly and familiar approach to our guests and each other creates a special atmosphere.
RESTAURANT & REGIONALITY
We offer upscale cuisine with creative dishes that re-tell stories of North Hesse. We source our ingredients from the region wherever possible. We believe that we should also know our regional producers personally and we are always amazed at our on-site visits at the richness and diversity of our Central German home region. We focus on the highest quality, freshness and seasonality, and therefore on a small, fine menu that we change every 6 weeks. Vegetarian dishes are in the majority with us, and with meat and fish we pay attention to organic quality or the award of at least the MSC seal.
EVENT LOCATION
Our premises offer exciting and varied options for all kinds of events. We are happy to respond to the wishes of our guests and are open to new ideas. Together we develop holistic concepts and solutions with appropriate partners. (However, we do not bend to extremes – events should also fit in with our corporate philosophy.) We keep everyone’s satisfaction in mind and make sure that event participants and all other guests feel equally comfortable at our hotel.
THINKING AND ACTING SUSTAINABLY
For us, sustainable thinking and acting means reflecting holistically on our work and being open to new ways of doing things. Economic success should not take first place before the wellbeing of humans, animals and the environment. We want to steadily reduce our carbon footprint, avoid waste, and we are committed to better animal wellbeing. We want to make it as easy as possible for our guests and employees to behave sustainably – and even have fun doing it. We think in networks and rely on long-term relationships with regional partners who we know and appreciate. We stand for the fact that all employees of the Renthof are employed under fair conditions and can be glad to be part of the team.
VENUE FOR MEETINGS
We offer companies optimal conditions for their purposes: Productive places for collaboration, retreats for individual and small group work, as well as social gatherings in bars and restaurants. We enable the best working atmosphere for all group sizes from under 20 to 350 people.
Hotel
Our hotel is a place for relaxation and holding meetings. We look forward to our guests and are a trustworthy partner when it comes to overnight accommodation. Each of our rooms is unique in design and layout. All fabrics, wallpapers, furniture, tiles and floors were carefully selected and sustainably adapted to the needs of the guests.
OPEN TO DIVERSITY
We are cosmopolitan and colourful. We are happy about the diversity of our employees and our guests from all over the world. We treat each other with respect, even in the cases of differences of opinion. However, we do not tolerate exclusionary behaviour.
