We offer upscale cuisine with creative dishes that retell the stories of Northern Hesse. We source our ingredients from the region whenever possible. We believe we should know our regional producers personally and are always amazed by the richness and diversity of our central German homeland during our on-site visits. We focus on the highest quality, freshness and seasonality, which is why we offer a small, refined menu that we change every 6 weeks. Vegetarian dishes are in the majority, and for meat and fish we ensure organic quality or at least MSC certification.

Our spaces offer exciting and varied possibilities for all kinds of events. We are happy to accommodate our guests’ wishes and are open to new ideas. Together we develop holistic concepts and solutions with appropriate partners. (However, we don’t compromise our values – events should also align with our house philosophy.) We keep everyone’s satisfaction in mind and ensure that event participants and all other guests feel equally comfortable in our house.

Sustainable thinking and action means for us to reflect holistically on our impact and to be open to new ways of doing things. Economic success should not come at the expense of people, animals or the environment. We want to continuously reduce our CO2 footprint, avoid waste and advocate for greater animal welfare. We want to make it as easy as possible for our guests and employees to act sustainably themselves – and even enjoy doing so. We think in networks and rely on long-term relationships with regional partners whom we know and value. We stand for fair employment conditions for all Renthof employees and for them to be part of the team with joy.

We offer companies optimal conditions for their purposes: productive spaces for collaboration, retreat areas for individual and small group work, as well as social gatherings in the bar and restaurant. We enable the best working atmosphere for all group sizes from under 20 to 350 people.

Our house is a place of relaxation and encounter. We look forward to our guests and are a trusted contact for accommodation. Each of our rooms is unique in design and layout. All fabrics, wallpapers, furniture, tiles and floors have been carefully selected and sustainably adapted to guests’ needs.
