OUR TIPS FOR YOUR STAY IN KASSEL

There’s plenty to experience in and around Kassel! We’ve gladly compiled some destinations for you. Kassel is not only a documenta city and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Even beyond the world-famous art exhibition and the impressive Wilhelmshöhe Mountain Park, the city in the heart of Germany offers numerous beautiful places for you to discover. Follow in the footsteps of the Brothers Grimm, explore the green meadows, or simply stroll through the city center. From the Renthof, you can quickly reach any desired location.

WILHELMSHÖHE MOUNTAIN PARK KASSEL

Bergpark Wilhelmshöhe is unique in the world. It is considered Europe’s largest mountain park and is famous for its unique wealth of trees and plants.

The Museum for Sepulchral Culture has existed since 1992.

It is dedicated to the themes of dying, death, burial, mourning, and remembrance.

Through education, counseling, and mediation in a diverse exhibition and event program, it succeeds in initiating discourses that both actively accompany the changes in sepulchral culture and offer the opportunity for a conscious engagement with one’s own mortality.

At GRIMMWELT Kassel, the Brothers Grimm and their fairy tales arrive in the modern day.

At the southern end of the Karlsaue – not far from our Renthof – lies a very special gem of garden art, the “Flower Island” Siebenbergen.
